Balochistan govt rejects Omar Ayub’s statement

QUETTA:
The Balochistan government has responded strongly to recent statements made by Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, calling them politically motivated and out of touch with reality.
Government spokesperson Shahid Rind stated that Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti had extended a formal invitation to Ayub to visit Balochistan and see the situation firsthand. However, instead of accepting the offer, Ayub chose to continue pushing a narrative of political turmoil.
Rind highlighted that the Chief Minister had even held a detailed discussion with Ayub, offering him the opportunity to assess the province’s challenges himself. Despite this, Ayub’s recent remarks reflect a lack of understanding of his constitutional responsibilities.
The spokesperson criticized the opposition leader for creating unnecessary controversies, arguing that such tactics show he is unfit for the role he holds.
The Balochistan government distanced itself from political blame games, emphasizing that it prefers consultation and dialogue to address real issues. Rind pointed out that Ayub’s party had governed Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for a decade, and the law and order situation there was clear for all to see.
He stressed that if Ayub was serious about addressing problems, the invitation to visit Balochistan remained open, with full security assurances in place.
According to the spokesperson, resorting to accusations would not improve the situation in Balochistan, just as it failed to bring stability to K-P.
He warned that fueling political instability only provides content for social media debates rather than solving real problems on the ground.
