Decision to introduce the latest automated rapid transport system in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a five -year transport program in Punjab.

A special video link meeting on transport chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was held in which it was decided to introduce the latest automated rapid transport system in Punjab.

During the briefing to the Chief Minister, the Chief Minister was informed that the automated rapid transport system is a successful system of Mass Transit around the world, including Malaysia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

The briefing stated that a bus consisting of three coaches will have more than 300 passengers, the bus standing at the ART smart station will be charged in a few minutes, the ART will have forest charging, Wi, monitoring camera and other facilities for passengers.

ART will be a complete solar system instead of traditional fuel. In the first phase, ART transport system will be introduced in other cities including Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujranwala. In three stages, a new transport system will be introduced in ten cities.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that automated rapid transport wants to be completed in four years across Punjab. A new transport system is necessary in every city to provide innovation.

Maryam Nawaz said that every city wants to introduce the “end -to -” system, the automated rapid transport system has the right to live in small cities, want to remove the deprivation, the modern transport system will improve the quality of life of the people.
