MPs approve the Senate bill to increase salaries and allowances

The bill to increase the salaries and allowances of the parliament has been unanimously approved by the Senate.

The Senate meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman Syedal Khan, in which Senator Dinesh Kumar presented a bill to increase the salaries of the members.

Law Minister Nazir Tarar advised the non -taking members to write the name, saying that the members who objected to the increase in salaries should give names, the same has been done in the provinces.

The Income Tax Amendment Bill 2025 was introduced in the House, despite opposition from the government, the bill was handed over to the Standing Committee.

The Mental Health Ordinance 2001 was also introduced in the House, the bill was presented by Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri, who was handed over to the relevant Standing Committee.
