Utility stores are not being closed, Rana Tanveer Hussain

Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that utility stores are not being closed, utility stores will be improved with the help of private sector.

The Federal Minister said that every year gives subsidy of 50 billion to utility stores. Last year, a subsidy of Rs 17 billion was given to utility stores under the Ramadan package.

This year, the government allocated Rs 20 billion in subsidy for the Ramadan package, saying that for the first time, 40 million people will be given cash assistance under the Ramadan package.

Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the experiences of Ramadan package were not good through utility stores, the poor could not get quality items through utility stores.

The federal minister said that only non -profit stores were shutting down in utility stores, the rights of permanent and contract employees would be protected.
