
Trevor Moore scores 2 as LA Kings win

The Los Angeles Kings overturned a second-period deficit to defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 on Monday night at Crypto.com Arena, extending their strong run of form.
Trevor Moore scored twice, including the equaliser early in the third period, while Warren Foegele netted the go-ahead goal. Joel Edmundson and Kevin Fiala also found the net as the Kings improved to 14-1-1 in their last 16 games.
Quinton Byfield registered three assists, and Darcy Kuemper made 19 saves.
Vegas, which had won its previous three games, took a 2-1 lead in the second period through goals from Brayden McNabb and Mark Stone. Ilya Samsonov stopped 14 shots for the Golden Knights, who remain atop the Pacific Division but have now lost two of three meetings against Los Angeles this season.
Kings turn the game in the 3rd Period
Trailing 2-1 entering the final period, the Kings responded quickly. Moore levelled the score just 42 seconds in with a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle that deflected off the crossbar and in.
Foegele, who also recorded an assist, then put the Kings ahead at 8:31, slotting a backhand past Samsonov to make it 3-2.
Edmundson extended the lead with 4:32 remaining, firing a snap shot from the blue line that found its way through traffic. Fiala capped the scoring in the final minute, securing the Kings’ 31st victory of the season.
Kuemper registers rare assist
Kuemper contributed offensively with a secondary assist on Moore’s second goal. It was the veteran goaltender’s sixth career assist and his first since 8 November 2023, when he was with the Washington Capitals.
What’s Next?
The Golden Knights will return home to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday, while the Kings host the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.
