Provide missing facilities
The government of Balochistan’s strict action to control and discourage cheating in the province is a good step towards improving the poor standard of education. It may help promote merit and talent, which are significant for academic stability. But, alongside this effort, the provincial government must focus on the urgent needs of young people and provide them with the facilities that they currently lack. These include timely provision of stationery books, adequate teaching staff who actually show up to their job, and furnished classrooms.
The majority of the students appearing in the ongoing annual examination complain that their courses have not been completed and that the education department has failed to initiate any punitive action against the absent teachers or those educators whose courses remain incomplete. They also complain that the performance of the board authorities is unsatisfactory and discouraging.
