The weekly rate of inflation went above 3 %

The weekly rate of inflation went above three percent, 11 commodity prices dropped in a week, 19 increased in 19 and 21 prices stabilized.

According to the national newspaper, the prices of most commodities including meat, potatoes, onions, sugar, chicken, tomatoes have risen before Ramadan, the weekly rate of inflation has risen above 3 %.

According to a weekly report by the Institute of Statistics, the prices of essential commodities in the country increased by 0.38 percent on a weekly basis and 0.32 percent on an annual basis, in the week ending February 27, the sensitive price index for consumers was recorded at 320.32 points, which was 310.12 points a week.

According to the institutional statistics, the price of lipton tea fell 6.62 percent, bread 1.67 percent, pulses mash 1.12 percent, mustard oil 1.08 percent, garlic 1 percent, LPG 0.37 percent, one kilogram of Benaspati ghee 0.32 percent, pulses chosen 0.21 percent and two and a half kilograms.

Tomatoes increased by 11.49 %, bananas 8.32 percent, eggs 5.43 percent, chicken 4.13 percent, potato 2.79 percent, onion 2.04 percent, beef 1.68 percent, sugar 1.55 percent and cigarettes 0.51 percent.

It should be noted that the sensitive price index for consumers is determined on the basis of a decrease in the prices of 51 essential commodities in the 50 markets of 17 major cities of the country.
