Youth tortured for cutting wood

TRUE:

A landlord and other suspects tortured a young man for cutting wood, shaved his head, eyebrows and moustache, blackened his face, and paraded him around the village on a donkey.

The police arrested two accused and registered a case after the CPO took notice of the matter. According to the details, influential individuals subjected a young man Patras to severe torture for cutting wood in Chak 110 Bangewala area of Chak Jhumra police station.

City Police Officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar took notice of the matter after the video of the incident went viral on social media and issued orders to SP Madina Town to immediately arrest the accused involved in the incident.

SHO Chak Jhumra Inspector Mansoor Sadiq raided various places and arrested two accused Razaq and others and registered a case against them.

The police officers said while conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused that those who break the law will be dealt with an iron hand.
