Sindh energy dept distributes solar home systems to rural families

The Sindh Department of Energy organized a ceremony for the distribution of solar home systems under the Sindh Solar Energy Project. In the first phase, 100 deserving individuals from the rural area of Tando Jam, Hyderabad, received solar home systems under the Benazir Bhutto Income Support Program.

The ceremony was attended by Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Provincial Minister for Energy Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. Also present at the event were Hyderabad Commissioner Bilal Ahmed Memon, Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, Deputy Mayor Hyderabad Sagheer Ahmed Qureshi, Chairman TMC Hussainabad Umair Mola Bakhsh Chandio, and other distinguished guests.

On this occassion, Sharjeel Inam Memon congratulated Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on his efforts and stated that he had made his commitment by providing the solar home systems to be distributed. He added that such events had already been organized in Sukkur and Shaheed Benazirabad, and in the second phase, another 250,000 houses of Sindh would be given solar systems before June 2025.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, despite holding no official position, was actively serving the people, proving that he deserves to be the country’s Prime Minister. He praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s public service, highlighting that he stayed awake during the nights of heavy rainfall to help the victims by providing food and other essential supplies. Furthermore, under Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision, 100 new houses will be built in every village, making this one of the greatest projects in the world.

He also spoke about the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) contributions to the healthcare sector, emphasizing that the party believes in serving the people, which is why, God willing, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be elected as the country’s Prime Minister in the next elections. Sharjeel Inam Memon added that the public has always trusted the PPP, which is why all opposition alliances have failed. He made it clear that the Pakistan People’s Party will not allow the construction of any canal on the Indus River, and as long as the PPP exists, its leadership has categorically stated that no canal will be built.

He further stated that it was the PPP that put an end to the Kalabagh Dam project, introduced the NFC Award, and ensured provincial autonomy. Addressing the public, he urged them not to be misled by others, as some people are trying to deceive them, but the PPP resides in the hearts of the people, and no one can take that away.

He stated that if the period of the PPP was left out in Pakistan’s history, then there would be no notable achievements remaining because the party contributed greatly to the defense, industrial, and democratic growth of the country. Pakistan’s missile program, steel mill, nuclear program, and constitution are all credited to the PPP.

Speaking at the ceremony, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the event was held under the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He further stated that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and all cabinet members were committed to following the party leadership’s mission.

He mentioned that the solar home systems were being provided under the Benazir Income Support Program for only 6,000 rupees, and in the second phase, more deserving and poor individuals would receive this facility. He also announced that, under Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s directive, a project to strengthen the electricity grids would be launched, providing free electricity to consumers using between 100 and 300 units.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah stated that the Sindh government, led by the Pakistan People’s Party, was constructing 2.1 million homes, which would be given to the people with full ownership rights.
