The semi-final match-ups for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 are now set after India’s victory over New Zealand in Dubai.

India will meet Australia in the first semi-final at Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday, 4th March, starting at 1pm (UAE time) and  9am GMT.

Meanwhile, the second semi-final will see New Zealand face South Africa at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, 5th March, beginning at 2pm PST (9am GMT).

The winners of these encounters will battle it out for the trophy in the final on Sunday, 9th March, with the venue still to be confirmed.

India will face Australia in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai on Tuesday after defeating New Zealand by 44 runs in their final group-stage match.

New Zealand will then travel to Lahore to play South Africa in the second semi-final on Wednesday. Due to scheduling issues, both teams had already arrived in Dubai, but now New Zealand faces the challenge of flying back to Pakistan immediately after their match.

In the game, New Zealand, chasing a target of 250, was bowled out for 205. Varun Chakravarthy starred with the ball, taking five wickets for 42 runs from 10 overs.

Despite a valiant 81 from Kane Williamson, New Zealand fell 44 runs short of the target. Santner’s captaincy decision to bowl first worked well, with New Zealand restricting India to 249/9 in 50 overs. Matt Henry was the standout bowler, taking 5/42.

India, after being reduced to 30/3 early on, saw a recovery with Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel’s 98-run partnership. Iyer top-scored for India with 79 runs off 98 balls.

Hardik Pandya’s late cameo of 45 runs helped India reach a competitive total. New Zealand’s bowling was led by Henry, while India’s top order struggled against the Black Caps’ attack.
