LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched a modern tracking portal to ensure timely and effective resolution of complaints registered through the 15 helpline، ARY News reported on Monday.

The initiative aims to enhance transparency in public service centres and keep citizens informed about the status of their complaints.

According to details, the new real-time tracking system would cover complaints lodged under the Virtual Women Police Station, the Virtual Center for Child Safety and the Virtual Center for Minorities.

Each applicant will receive a username and password to track the progress of their complaint at any time. Additionally, if citizens are dissatisfied with the resolution of their complaint, they can provide feedback and submit further grievances.

The authorities urge citizens to utilize the tracking portal for swift assistance.

Earlier, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has called for strict measures to combat tax evasion in Pakistan’s real estate sector as discussions commence in Islamabad to unlock a $1 billion loan tranche.

The nine-member delegation, led by Nathan Porter, arrived in Pakistan today to evaluate the country’s economic performance and determine the release of the next $1 billion tranche.

According to details shared with ARY News by sources, the talks between Pakistan and the IMF, which are part of the $7 billion loan program, have begun. During these discussions, the IMF emphasised the need for action against those who misdeclare property values.

As part of the proposed reforms, the Pakistan government has assured the IMF that it will activate the Real Estate Regulatory Authority.

According to sources, strict penalties, including imprisonment and fines, will be imposed on individuals and agents who falsely declare property values. Additionally, failing to register could result in a handsome fine.
