
India reached the Champions Trophy final
Dubai: India defeated Australia in the first semi -final of the Champions Trophy.
The first semi -final of the Champions Trophy was played at the Dubai Stadium between Australia and India in Dubai. Australia won the toss against India and decided to bat first.
Australia scored 264 runs in the loss of all players in 49.3 overs. And gave India a target of 265 runs to win.
India started its batting in pursuit of the target. However, Indian batting was initially facing difficulties. The first player Shabham Gul was out for a total of 30. They could only score 8 runs. Rohit Sharma also returned to the pavilion on an overall score of 43. He scored 28 runs with a six and 3 fours.
Virat Kohli and Shariah Ayer resorted to Indian batting. Shiars were out for a total score of 143 runs. Who scored 45 runs. While Akshar Patel returned to Pavilion for 178 runs, he added 27 runs in the overall score.
Virat Kohli came out for 84 runs after batting the best. By then the Indian team had scored 225 runs.
Australia’s first wicket fell on an aggregate score of 4 runs when the top Cooper Konoli returned to the pavilion without any runs. After Cooper Conoli was dismissed, Travis Head took aggressive approach.
Australia’s second wicket fell to 54 runs. Travis Head was caught out after scoring 39 runs with 2 sixes and 5 fours. The third wicket fell to a total run of 110, when Maranos Laboshen returned to the pavilion with 29 runs.
The fourth wicket fell to 144 runs. Josh Angles fell victim to the Indian bowler soon after scoring 11 runs. Steve Smith scored 73 runs after playing a good innings for 198. The sixth wicket fell to 205 runs when Glenn Maxwell bowled with just 7 runs.
Indian bowler Mohammad Shami took the most 3 wickets. Varun Chakraborty struck out 2 players.
The players who came after the Kiwis could not play too much and all the players were out before the overs was over.
Australian captain Steve Smith said that the pitch looks dry and our team has made two changes.
“We were ready for both batting or bowling,” Indian captain Rohit Sharma said. And our team has not changed. Over time the pitch changes its nature.
He said he would try to stop the Australian team at a lower runs.
The Indian team has been unbeaten in the event. 151 one -day matches have been opened between India and Australia. Of these, 84 Kangaroos hit the field, while 57 India won.
Both teams competed four times in the Champions Trophy. India won 2 and Australia won one match. While a match was without a result. In the knock -out matches of the ICC events, both teams face each other. And both teams won four, four matches.
