Water denied

Every year, like clockwork, the Karachi water supply develops a problem right before the month of Ramazan and this problem does not get resolved until after Eid. Although fixing a water pipe is an easy task. With no moving parts, the pipe can be replaced within a few hours. But the Karachi administration delays this work, forcing people to have to buy water supplied by tankers. The people of Karachi have been suffering like this for many years. Their basic right to water is denied to them. The Sindh government does nothing to fix this problem, while no other federal government organisation questions this injustice.
