Agriculture has not been a profitable profession due to dehydration and fertilizer expensive, Chief Minister Sindh

KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that agriculture has not been a lucrative profession due to water shortage and fertilizer expensive.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah met the new British Deputy High Commissioner. Sindh Chief Minister assured full support to the British Deputy High Commissioner. The new British Deputy High Commissioner thanked the Sindh Chief Minister for his cooperation.

Meeting with the British Deputy High Commissioner also discussed the destruction and rehabilitation of the floods in Sindh.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the first challenge after the flood was the restoration of agriculture. And the construction of houses is underway for the flood victims.

Talking about agriculture, he said that the Sindh government has increased the agricultural tax by 35 to 45 percent. But due to dehydration and fertilizer being expensive, agriculture has not been a profitable profession.

He said that every citizen in Sindh has equality rights. And minorities in Sindh also have equality rights. Sindh is a province -free province and terrorism has come out in Sindh.
