CTD issues threat alert over possible terrorist activity in Quetta

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has issued a threat alert in Quetta, warning of potential sabotage activities by banned organisations.

According to a communication sent to the police, the CTD has advised law enforcement to remain vigilant in light of the threat. The alert states that banned organisations may be planning an attack in the city.

The CTD reports that two vehicles have entered Quetta and could be targeting government offices or high-ranking officials. The police have been urged to take additional security measures to protect both the public and government properties.

Earlier, At least three people were killed and seven others injured on Wednesday following an explosion in Khuzdar’s Nall area, law enforcement authorities said.

According to , the blast occurred near a college in the Nall area of Khuzdar, with authorities confirming the fatalities and casualties.

The officials stated that three people were killed and seven others were injured in the blast. The bodies and the wounded have been transferred to Nall Hospital for treatment. Authorities are currently working to determine the nature of the explosion.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the recent incident, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives. He directed authorities to provide the best possible medical care for the injured.

“Terrorism will be eliminated at all costs, and anti-peace elements will not succeed in their nefarious designs,” he added.
