Balochistan Chief Minister announces to abolish the zakat department

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti announces to abolish the zakat department.

Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti expressed his gratitude for the poor performance of the zakat department and said that Rs 30 crore is distributed to the poor annually in Balochistan.

He said that the department spends one billion 60 crore rupees on distributing Rs 30 crore. And for the distribution of Rs 30 crore, the Zakat department has 80 vehicles.

Sarfraz Bugti said that zakat money has not been distributed among the poor for the last 2 years. And now I am ending this department on poor performance.

He said that these Rs 30 crore would be distributed among the poor by deputy commissioners.
