International company interest in assembling vehicles, manufacturing plant in Punjab

LAHORE: International company has expressed interest in setting up an assembling and manufacturing plant of electric vehicles in Punjab.

A delegation of International Company affiliated with the Electric Vehicles Sector met with the Minister of Industry Punjab. During this time, issues related to a conducive environment for investment were discussed in Punjab.

The foreign delegation said that the group is building electric vehicles in China, UPS, solar inverters and batteries in Punjab. While the assembling and manufacturing plant of electric vehicles also want to be set up in Punjab.

The delegation chief said that our group will also invest in setting up EV charging stations. The head of the delegation also informed about the problems facing the Minister of Industry Punjab.

Provincial Minister Shafi Hussain directed the investor group to resolve the problems by March 31 and said that Punjab has a great time and favorable environment for investment.

He said that the best facilities are being provided to local and foreign investors in Punjab. And investors’ problems are being solved under one roof at the convenience centers.

Shafi Hussain said that the Aerospace Bike Group should increase investment in Punjab. Will provide it all possible. While the Punjab government’s focus is on the promotion of electric vehicles sector.

He said that there is a huge investment in solar energy and electric vehicles sector. Therefore, foreign investors take advantage of investment opportunities in Punjab.
