Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also received millions of applications for free solar system scheme

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also received 25 lakh 38 thousand applications for the free solar system scheme.

Project Director Asfandyar said in detail regarding the free solar system, saying that after the draw, one hundred and 30,000 households will be given free solar systems. However, after the draw, the process of confirmation and the Benazir Income Support Program is underway.

He said the system included 585 watts solar plates, a battery, 3 bulbs and 2 fans. In the system, a charger will be replaced in the inverter.

Asfandyar said that installing solar system will cost Rs 2 lakh 4 thousand. 65,000 citizens will provide free and 65 thousand system at subsidized rates.

Explaining more details regarding the expense, he said that the solarization project would cost Rs 20 billion.
