Childhood robbed
I am writing with a deep sense of urgency regarding the ongoing issue of child labour. Across the world, millions of children are forced to work in dangerous conditions instead of enjoying the safety, education, and happiness that every child deserves. Child labour is not just a violation of human rights. It is a theft of childhood, dreams, and opportunities.
These children, instead of learning and growing in school, are engaged in physically and mentally exhausting labour. They are denied the basic joys of childhood, their hands carrying heavy burdens when they should be holding books and toys. There is an urgent need for the government to crackdown on this practice and ensure that all children are in school and that their families can afford to send them there. Failure will comprise our development.
