For dedicated Pikachu collectors, this could be a bit of a headache, as this special version won’t be available globally. However, there’s still hope for Trainers worldwide who want to add this unique Pikachu to their collection.

Ways to get Pikachu wearing a kurta

For Trainers in India, Pikachu wearing a kurta will appear in One-Star Raids throughout the Festival of Colors event. Additionally, there will be a Timed Research that provides bonus Candy when catching Pokémon in these raids. The event runs from Thursday, March 13, at to Monday, March 17, 2025,

For Trainers outside of India, don’t worry—you can still get your hands on this costumed Pikachu by joining these raids remotely with a Remote Raid Pass. If you know someone in India, now’s the perfect time to message them and ask for help.

If you don’t have any connections in India, you can still join these raids by using platforms like Leek Duck’s Raid Now service, where Trainers share their Friend Codes and raid invites on social media platforms like Reddit and X (formerly Twitter).

The last resort for getting this Pikachu is through trading. If you’re attending a Pokémon GO event like Safari Zone or Pokémon GO Fest 2025, you may be able to find Trainers with this special Pikachu in their collection and trade for it.
