Second Hangur class submarine launched

KARACHI: Second Hangur class submarine for the Pak Navy has been developed in China.

The second Hangur class submarine PNS Schushk launching ceremony was held in Wuhan China at the Woaching Ship Building Industry Group Co., Ltd. Shuanglio Base. Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Owais Ahmed Belgrami was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff highlighted the importance of maritime security under the current geo -strategic environment in the region, protecting national interests, protecting national interests and ensuring a secure maritime environment.

He added that Hangor class submarines equipped with the latest weapons and sensors will play an important role in maintaining the balance of power and stability in the region.

The Vice Chief of the Naval Staff appreciated the tireless efforts of the China Ship Building and Offshore International Company Limited (CSOC) and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project.

The launching ceremony was attended by top officials of Pakistan and China. They also included representatives from the Woaching Ship Building Industry Company Limited and the China Ship Building and Offshore International Company Limited.

It should be noted that the government of Pakistan signed an agreement to acquire 8 Hangor class submarines with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan with China Shipbuilding and Offshore International Company Limited.

Under the agreement, 4 submarines will be manufactured in China. The other 4 will be constructed under the Transfer of Technology at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited in Pakistan. These submarines will be equipped with the latest weapons and sensors. In order to target the targets far away.
