
Trump’s travel ban: The list of 41 countries that could be affected |
The Trump administration is considering imposing extensive travel restrictions on citizens from dozens of countries as part of a new ban, according to sources familiar with the matter and an internal memo reviewed by Reuters.
A U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, noted that the list of affected countries could still change and that the proposal has not yet been approved, including by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The memo reportedly identifies 41 countries, which are categorized into three separate groups.
Full visa suspension
- Cuba
- Iran
- Libya
- North Korea
- Somalia
- Sudan
- Syria
- Venezuela
- Yemen
- Afghanistan
Partial visa suspension (tourist, student and some other visas affected)
- Eritrea
- Haiti
- Laos
- Myanmar

Countries recommended for a partial suspension if they do not address deficiencies
