Woman jumps to death during police drug raid in Defense, Karachi

A woman committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of an apartment building in Karachi’s Defence Phase 6 area, following a police raid targeting drug dealers.

The woman, identified as 40-year-old Afshan d/o Rashid, fell from the building when police arrived to apprehend drug dealers, reported.

Upon receiving the information, police had raided the flat, and as they approached, the woman jumped from the window to the street below. She was rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police sources claim that during the raid, drugs and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the flat.

It is alleged that the woman was involved in drug dealing and provided facilities for drug use in her apartment.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
