”
The International Masters League (IML) 2025 final saw high drama unfold as former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh engaged in a heated altercation with West Indies Masters pacer Tino Best.
The tense moment occurred in the 13th over of India’s chase, with the two players exchanging words before umpire Billy Bowden, Brian Lara, and Ambati Rayudu intervened to defuse the situation.
The incident briefly overshadowed an otherwise dominant performance from India Masters, who cruised to a six-wicket victory over West Indies Masters in Raipur. Led by Sachin Tendulkar, the side produced a clinical all-round display to chase down 149 with ease.
Tendulkar, opening the innings, set the tone with a stylish 25, partnering with Rayudu, who stole the show with a blistering 74 off 50 balls. The duo added 67 runs for the opening stand before Tino Best dismissed Tendulkar with a sharp delivery.
Rayudu, however, continued the assault, reaching his fifty off 34 balls before falling to Sulieman Benn.
The game saw some late resistance from the West Indies Masters spinners, but Stuart Binny (16*) ensured India’s triumph with two towering sixes to seal the chase.
While the match featured nostalgic moments and vintage performances, the fiery exchange between Yuvraj and Best was a major talking point, adding an edge to the contest between cricketing greats.
