
Jaffar Express to Resume Operations from Today: Hanif Abbasi

Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi Tuesday said Jaffar Express will resume its operations from today.
The service had been suspended after the railway track was damaged in a recent attack but has now been fully restored.
A group of terrorists launched the attack on the Peshawar-Quetta Jaffar Express in the Bolan Pass area of Balochistan.
Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House in Islamabad, the Railways Minister said drone surveillance will be launched for train operations in Balochistan.
He added that CCTV cameras are also being installed at railway stations and other sensitive locations across the country to improve security.

Earlier, the FIA registered cases against three individuals for spreading fake news about the Jaffar Express attack.
Three cases were registered against Ahmed Noorani, Shafiq Ahmad Advocate, and Aina Durkhanai under the PECA Act by FIA Cyber Crime Islamabad.
According to the FIRs, the accused have spread anti-state propaganda online, inciting hatred against national institutions following the attack. They used their verified social media accounts to promote a banned organization and create public uncertainty.
The FIA is investigating further to identify additional accounts involved in spreading malicious propaganda, the FIA spokesperson said.
