Afraid of solar?

The Economic Coordination Committee has reduced the buyback rate for surplus solar electricity to Rs10 per unit from Rs27 per unit. Based on my understanding of economic issues, I believe this is not a prudent decision by the government, as it could potentially discourage the adoption of solar energy in Pakistan.

Many analysts have criticised this policy and urged the government to reconsider it, formulating one that better serves the interests of the people.
