Chairman FBR Amjad Zubair Towana has decided to take early retirement.

Chairman FBR has written a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office for early retirement, Amjad Zubirtwana has 6 months left in his tenure, he applied for early retirement from August 15.

The government failed to achieve the target of tax collections, the fiscal deficit reached 1922 billion

Sources say that Chairman FBR decided to retire prematurely due to work pressure and criticism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will take the final decision on the request of Amjad Zubair Towana.
