The Prime Minister and his cabinet are not taking salary and benefits, Barrister Aqeel Malik

Islamabad: Advisor to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik has said that the Prime Minister and his cabinet are not getting salary and benefits. Government figures including MPs are not getting free electricity. Electricity rates are the same as what the common man is paying.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik said in a press conference that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has started austerity with himself and his cabinet.

He claimed that no member of the federal cabinet, including the Prime Minister, is receiving salary and other benefits.

Barrister Aqeel Malik said that when Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif goes on a foreign visit, he also bears his travel expenses himself.

He said that the cabinet members residing in the Minister’s Enclave are also paying the bills normally according to the normal rates of the electricity they use. Cabinet members are not getting free electricity.
