Iran’s Vice President Javad Zarif resigned just 10 days after his appointment.
According to the international news agency, Iran’s former foreign minister and current vice president, Mohammad Javad Zarif, announced his resignation on “X”.

Jawad Zarif, explaining the reasons for his resignation, said that he was ashamed that he could not fulfill his promise to ensure the representation of women, youth and ethnic groups in the cabinet.
He said that civilized methods could not be applied in the selection of candidates, he also expressed concern that he faced severe pressure after his appointment as vice president because his children have US citizenship.
Regarding his future, Javad Zarif said that he will return to his profession, i.e. the academic field, and pay less attention to domestic politics in Iran.
It should be remembered that yesterday the Iranian president has sent the list of names of the new proposed 19-member cabinet to the parliament for approval, in which only one female member has been included.
