Big increase in price per kg of chicken meat

The price of chicken meat continues to increase across the country.

In Peshawar, the price of chicken has skyrocketed, after an increase of Rs.30 per kg in two days, the price of live chicken reached Rs.440 per kg. The citizens demanded the administration to take practical steps to control the price of chicken.

On the other hand, in Lahore, the government and the poultry association could not agree on the price, after which the shopkeepers refused to sell chicken at the official price.

In Lahore, the official price of chicken meat is fixed at Rs 594, while the meat is being sold at Rs 709 per kg in the market.
