Second earthquake in Taiwan in 24 hours, magnitude 6.3 record

Taiwan has been hit by a second earthquake in 24 hours with a magnitude of 6.3.

According to a foreign news agency, the tremors of the earthquake were felt 34 kilometers away from the eastern city of Hualien in Taiwan. The 6.3-magnitude earthquake shook buildings in the capital, Taipei.

The Taiwan Meteorological Administration said the earthquake was felt at 7:35 a.m. local time with a depth of 9.7 kilometers. This is the second earthquake to be felt in the island of Taiwan in the last 24 hours.

It should be noted that earlier on Thursday, a 5.7-magnitude earthquake was felt off the northeastern coast of Taiwan.
