The Punjab government has implemented the Professional Tax by amending the Finance Act

The Punjab government has dropped another bombshell on the poor people, the Punjab Finance Act 1977 has been amended to introduce professional tax.

Professional tax will be deducted from the salaries of people belonging to all walks of life. All companies in Punjab have been mandated to deduct professional tax from their salaries.

Action will be taken on non-deposit of professional tax, the chief principal officer of the company will deduct and deposit the professional tax.

A request was made by the Punjab government to amend the Punjab Finance Act 1977, after the decision of the Lahore High Court, it has been decided to amend the Punjab Finance Act 1977.
