K Electric has filed a request to raise the price of electricity by Rs 3.9 paise per unit

Preparations have been started to increase the price of electricity for the people of Karachi, K Electric has requested to increase the price of electricity by 3 rupees 9 paise.

K Electric’s request for July fuel price adjustment has been filed with Nepra. Nepra will hear K Electric’s application on August 29. In case of unanimous approval, K Electric consumers will have an additional burden of Rs 6.206 crore.

A slight increase in the value of the dollar

NEPA has already increased the price of electricity for K Electric under the adjustments of May and June.

Last day, Nepra had notified to increase the price of electricity for K Electric in 2 monthly adjustments.
