Small plane crashes in Thailand, all on board killed

Bangkok: A small passenger plane crashed in the eastern region of Thailand during the flight. All the people on board the plane were killed.

According to a foreign news agency, a small passenger plane took off from Bangkok’s main airport for a domestic flight in Thailand. It lost contact with the control tower shortly after.

A search operation was conducted to find the plane. The wreckage of the plane was found in a mangrove swamp about 40 kilometers from the Thailand airport. The ill-fated plane was carrying 5 passengers, 2 air hostesses, a pilot and a co-pilot. None of whom survived.

All the five passengers who died were from Hong Kong and were of Chinese origin, while the air hostesses and pilots were Thai nationals.

In videos that have gone viral on social media, pieces of the plane can be seen scattered in swamps and water in the middle of a forested area. An inquiry committee was formed to find out the cause of the accident.
