Another Pakistani pilgrim bus accident in Iran, 3 people killed, 48 injured

A bus carrying Pakistani pilgrims collided with a truck in Iran, killing at least three people and injuring 48 others.

Pakistani pilgrims were going to Iraq via Iran to participate in the Arbaeen in reference to the Chehlum of the Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussain.

According to Iranian media, a bus collided with a truck on the main road between Nerez city in Fars province and Sarjan in Kerman province, killing three people and injuring 48 others.

Colonel Abdul Hashim, an official of the Fars Traffic Police, said in a statement that the accident was caused by a technical fault in the brakes and the driver’s failure to control the vehicle.
