
The typhoon hit the island of Japan
Tokyo: Typhoon Shanshan has hit the Japanese island of Kyushu.
According to the foreign news agency, flights and trains were canceled due to the typhoon hitting the Japanese island of Kyushu.
Heavy rains are continuing in the southwestern coastal areas under the influence of Cyclone Shan Shan and up to 1100 mm of rain is expected during the next two days. Which is half of the annual average.

A state of emergency warning had already been issued and more than 50,000 people were ordered to evacuate due to the threat of the storm.
Japan Meteorological Agency chief forecaster Satoshi Sugimoto said at a press conference that the warning indicated that the possibility of major damage caused by the typhoon was high.
