Recounting of votes on NA 79, PML-N candidate declared successful

Gujranwala: PML-N candidate Zulfikar Bhandar has succeeded in recounting votes in National Assembly seat NA-79.

The re-counting of votes in National Assembly seat NA-79 has been completed. PML-N candidate Zulfiqar Bhandar was successful in the recount.

Zulfiqar Bhandar was elected MNA by a margin of 3023 votes. In the recount, PML-N candidate Zulfiqar Bhandar got 95,604 votes.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ehsanullah Wark got 92 thousand 581 votes.

It should be noted that in the 2024 general elections, Muslim League-N candidate Zulfiqar Bhandar was defeated by 4 thousand 388 votes.

On winning the seat, supporters of the Muslim League candidate celebrated across the region. The police had made tight security arrangements on the occasion of the recount.
