COMSATS names top 3 rector candidates

ABBOTTABAD:

The COMSATS University Senate has recommended three names for the Rector position, ranked by merit; Dr Shahid Khattak, Dr Shahid Munir and Dr Asghar Zaidi. The names will be forwarded to the President of Pakistan for final selection.

The Academic Staff Association of COMSATS University (ASA-CUI) held a meeting in Abbottabad to discuss the upcoming Senate meeting for the appointment of a permanent Rector.

The association expressed concerns over the delay in the process and emphasised the need for a transparent and efficient selection.

The meeting highlighted the adverse effects of the delay in appointing a permanent rector on the university’s functioning.
