Floods have wreaked havoc in 28 states of Nigeria, killing 200 people and leaving 200,000 homeless.

According to the Disaster Management Agency, efforts are being made to move the displaced people to temporary shelters. The agency said that crops spread over 170,000 hectares have also been destroyed due to the floods in the severely affected northern region. A further threat of shortage has arisen.
