UAE has introduced a visa amnesty scheme for foreigners

The UAE has introduced a special visa amnesty scheme for foreigners which has officially started.

According to the report, the said scheme is for expatriates who have entered the UAE legally but have not renewed their visas after the expiry date and are staying illegally.

Under the scheme, the UAE government has provided a two-month window operation facility from September 1 to October 30.

Under this scheme, the Emirati authorities have provided an attractive facility to illegal residents through which they can legalize their stay or return to their home country without paying a fine.

Officials have clarified that the scheme does not apply to those who entered the UAE illegally.
