Launch of universal number plate system for vehicles in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: Excise has launched a universal number plate system for vehicles across the province.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Excise also launched a public facilitation module for property tax submission, apart from universal number plate system for vehicles. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur officially launched these online systems.

Taxpayers can access their tax records online from anywhere.

Through the new system taxpayers can also get their challan online. An online tax calculator is also provided for taxpayers under the module.

The introduction of the system will increase the collection of taxes by 5 billion rupees annually. The vehicle registration process in the province will be digitized and centralized. The modern system will ensure effective remediation of the use of stolen vehicles.

Besides, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur while addressing the inauguration ceremony of online systems said that digitization is very important for good governance. Working on digitalization of all departments under e-governance.

He said that digitalization of government affairs brings transparency in the departments. By increasing the efficiency of the departments, the province can be made financially self-sufficient.
