ICC satisfied with arrangements for Champions Trophy in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: International Cricket Council (ICC) has expressed satisfaction over the security and playing arrangements for the Champions Trophy matches to be played in Rawalpindi.

On Friday Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi met with the ICC delegation to discuss any issues relating to preparation for the Champions trophy tournament.

Islamabad was next on the list for the delegation as they visit all three key venues in preparation for the upcoming Champions trophy tournament, set to kick off in February 2025.

The delegation previously visited Karachi on Tuesday and is expected to visit the Gaddafi Stadium and Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore tomorrow, September 21.

After visiting the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the delegation expressed satisfaction with the arrangements in both Karachi and Rawalpindi. Security arrangements were satisfactory in both locations, with chairman Naqvi stating “fool proof security arrangements will be made for the teams.”

Arrangements are being finalized according to the chairman, with the work of upgrading the stadiums set to be completed before the beginning of the tournament.

“It is an honour to hold the ICC Champions Trophy tournament in Pakistan,” said Naqvi.
