Decision to prepare National Electric Vehicle Policy in the country within a month

Islamabad: It has been decided to prepare a national electric vehicle policy in the country within a month.

The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Industry and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain. In which it was decided to prepare a policy. The first meeting of the Steering Committee on Electric Vehicle Policy was held under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister.

According to the announcement issued by the Ministry of Industry and Production, Federal Minister of the Ministry of Energy Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Leghari also participated in the meeting. Formulation of a comprehensive policy for electric vehicles was discussed in the meeting.

All the relevant stakeholders presented their suggestions in the meeting. In the meeting, it was decided to prepare the National Electric Vehicle Policy in one month. The second meeting of the steering committee will be held next week.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister had formed a steering committee to formulate the electric vehicle policy.
