China rejects US proposal to ban internet vehicles
BEIJING: China has expressed strong opposition to a US proposal to restrict the use of internet-enabled vehicles as well as their software and hardware.
According to a foreign news agency, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that this US proposal under the guise of national security will damage the reputation of China’s Internet-enabled vehicles.
He said that this American proposal is also one of the measures taken against Chinese vehicles in recent years. Under which tariff increases, purchase restrictions and differential subsidies were imposed.

The spokesperson said that this suggestion has no factual basis. This is a violation of the principles of market economy and fair competition and a measure of protectionism.
He said that this will affect China-US cooperation regarding Internet vehicles. In addition to disrupting the global automotive industry supply chain, the interests of American consumers will also be harmed.
