The minimum export price of rice was abolished

The federal government has abolished the minimum export price of rice.

On the instructions of the Federal Minister of Commerce, the minimum export price for rice exports has been abolished immediately, with the decision, Pakistani rice exporters will be able to compete better in the global market.

Inflation will be between 8 to 9 percent in September and October, Ministry of Finance

Government sources say that the federal government has withdrawn the minimum price fixed for the export of rice from November 7, 2023.

Rice exports are expected to generate revenue of up to 5 billion dollars, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan has issued a notification to abolish the minimum export price of rice.
