On the directives of the Prime Minister, the FBR has been extensively restructured.

As per the notification issued, various departments have been merged or abolished, new posts have also been created, the post of Member Public Relations has been converted to Member Taxpayer Services.

The post of Member Accounting has been replaced as Member Organizational Audit, DGIT and Digital Transformation under Member Inland Revenue Operations.

DG Revenue Analysis will now work under Member Inland Revenue Policy, Director General Internal Audit will now work under Member Organizational Audit.

Member IT, Member Digital Initiative powers are delegated to Member Inland Revenue Operations.
