Direct firing on Islamabad police, things will be clear by morning, Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has come to Islamabad with Jathas. And direct firing has been done on Islamabad police. A case will be filed against those who violate the law.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi while talking to the media said that today was an important day for Islamabad. Islamabad was attacked today and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was leading the whole situation.

He said that the police were tortured and the protesters fired directly at the police. Islamabad police arrested 564 people, out of which 120 are Afghans. 11 police officers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been arrested in plain clothes. From which tear gas shells and masks were recovered. We thought they were protestors, but KP police officers turned out.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the Ministry of Interior has started a high-level investigation into the involvement of officials in the protestors. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, police officers are attacking the police. Strict action will be taken against whoever directed these attacks.

He said that strict action was taken against whoever used the KPK police. And a few people wished they could find a body. The dreams of such people could not be fulfilled. Thankfully no body fell.

The Federal Interior Minister said that shots were fired at the policemen in the morning. But the police showed restraint. 75 Punjab Police and 31 Islamabad Police personnel have been injured. The condition of a policeman is said to be critical. No shots were fired by the police to avoid casualties.

He said that the protestors wanted to block D Chowk on 17th. And they also wanted to influence the SCO conference. The entire report of the protest will be submitted to the Prime Minister. Thank God the whole area is clear.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the citizens of Islamabad and Rawalpindi were suffering from torture for 2 days. However, by morning things will be clear for which they are working. We kept our hand a little soft so as not to cause casualties. Chief Minister Ali Amin has come to Islamabad with Gandapur Jathas. And direct firing has been done on the Islamabad police.

He said that a case will be filed against those who violate the law in a short time. And action will be taken against anyone involved including the Chief Minister. These were regular train and armed people.

The Federal Interior Minister said that if these people want to talk, I would have talked to the Prime Minister myself.

On this occasion, IG Punjab said that more than 4,000 personnel of Punjab Police are doing duty with Islamabad Police. And on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, Punjab Police has arrived in Islamabad for security.
