Punjab: 1 lakh salami and furniture to bride, project approved for marriage of poor girls

The Punjab Cabinet approved the project of marriage of 3 thousand girls from poor families.

The 17th cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which the project of marriage of 3 thousand girls from poor families was approved in the province.

Under the project, each bride will be given a greeting of Rs.1 lakh through an ATM card. Furniture, clothes, dinner set and 13 consumable items will be gifted to the bride.

The cabinet also gave approval to allot one lakh acres of land to landless farmers on lease of 3 and 5 years.

Cabinet meeting also approved the e-bus service scheme in Punjab, 27 buses will come in the first phase. By the end of the year, 680 e-buses will be functional across Punjab.
