The Chemistry Nobel Prize 2024 has been awarded to the American David Baker, the British Demus Hasabs and the American John M. Jumper. American scientist David Baker was awarded the Nobel Prize for creating a new type of synthetic protein.
British citizens Damis Hasabs and John M. Jumper were awarded the Nobel Prize for introducing models with the help of artificial intelligence.
Last year, 3 US chemists were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize. Last year the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was jointly awarded to Mongi G. Buendi, Louis E. Bruce and Alexey I. Akimov for the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.
The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to David Baker for computational protein design, along with Damus Hasabs and John M. Jumper for protein structure prediction.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on Wednesday 9 October. that scientists had successfully collaborated on computational protein design and protein structure prediction.
