Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said that political pollution is not visible but destroys the country.

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz while addressing the event said that people often ask about my vision for Punjab. I am happy to do anything for future generations. And I was told to hire and train 2,000 interns. While 60 thousand rupees per month will be given for the internship program.

He said that environmental protection is your sacred responsibility. And we are beautifying the country for future generations. Climate change is beginning to affect lives while improving the environment as well as the country. Maryam Aurangzeb and her team worked beyond my expectations.

Maryam Nawaz said that climate change is not only a problem of Punjab but of the whole of Pakistan. And no nation can develop without infrastructure development. Infrastructure development is necessary but this development has to be protected from concrete form. Where the road will be built, trees will be planted on both sides.

He said that one percent of each project will be kept for planting trees. While both concrete and natural beauty have to be balanced. Smog never goes away for 12 months and smog causes people to breathe. Schools and offices have to be closed due to smog. While we said that climate change should be taught in schools.

Talking about smog, he said that smog does not end by pressing a button and there is a need to create awareness among people to eliminate smog. However, we have an action plan to eliminate smog. Smog also comes here due to wind from Indian Punjab.

Punjab Chief Minister said that climate change should be discussed with India as well. And together we have to take action on climate change. While in Punjab, immediate action is taken against animal abusers. A donkey’s legs were also cut off in Punjab and we caught the accused and locked him in jail. Treating animals well is also a sign of a civilized nation.

He said that our air quality index has improved. Smog is said to start in October and end in February, but smog never ends for a full 12 months. Monitoring of smog emitting vehicles and vehicle fitness certificates are being issued for the first time. While 26 or 28 electric buses are coming in December.

Talking about politics, he said that there is a pollution called political pollution. And political pollution is not visible but destroys the country. Every day one hears protest, burn, but this is a wrong tradition.

Regarding inflation, Maryam Nawaz said that inflation has come down to 6 or 7 percent from 38 percent. And work has to be done to reduce inflation, not everything is done just like that.

He said that whatever happens, we should not let this country be affected. And for the first time in education, a series of major scholarships has been launched.
